As the Head of Technology & Platform Operations, he leads the development, management, and continuous improvement of FoodSubsidy.com.ng, the digital platform powering the food subsidy initiative in Nigeria and the rest of the African countries.
This role is responsible for ensuring platform stability, data security, and system performance. It oversees user management, order processing workflows, and integration of tools that support transparency and accountability within the food subsidy system.
The Head of Technology also collaborates closely with operations and communications teams to translate program needs into functional digital solutions. By maintaining a secure and user-friendly platform, this role ensures that beneficiaries, partners, and administrators can interact with the system efficiently and with confidence.

The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Subsidized Food Nigeria Social Enterprises, ensuring that the food subsidy program functions efficiently across all locations.
This role coordinates pickup points, manages relationships with participating merchants, and supervises field teams responsible for order verification and customer support. The COO ensures that operational procedures such as receipt issuance, order reconciliation, and merchant payments are followed accurately and consistently.
In addition, the COO plays a key role in process improvement, identifying operational challenges and implementing solutions that enhance service delivery, reduce errors, and improve beneficiary experience. The position is central to maintaining reliability, scalability, and operational integrity as the program grows.

Akinola Olatunji is the founder and executive director of Subsidized Food Nigeria Social Enterprises, a mission-driven organization focused on improving access to affordable food for Nigerian households. He founded the initiative in response to the rising cost of essential food items and the growing pressure on family incomes across the country.
In his role, Akinola provides strategic leadership and overall direction for the organization. He is responsible for defining the vision, shaping the subsidy model, and ensuring that all activities align with the organization’s social impact objectives. He also leads stakeholder engagement, including partnerships with food merchants, community organizations, and public sector institutions.
